American Murders Obviously Skyrocket After Abandonment of God

Hemorrhaging Murders:
The US already suffered 39 mass shootings in January 2023, w/ 93 dead. So, what’s going on? Heritage statistics show the trend first began after the George Floyd riots were not prosecuted: 8 Cities That Help Explain National Crime Wave: “FBI statistics show a 30% increase in violent crime in 2020 compared to the previous year, the largest single-year increase since the agency began tracking those numbers in the 1960s.” While there’s possibly many elements involved, such as defunding police, etc, what is the largest influence at play?

Is Current US Violence Spike Related to Deeply Religious Instincts Denied?

Godless:On a deeper level, consider that since Leftism has no God, and therefore no function to address sin, this in itself leads to callous disregard of traditional sin. It fosters lawlessness and murders. What? Yes, losing Christian faith is harmful since it encourages folks to follow law and forgive. But humanistic Marxist atheism has no deep argument against violence. Godless peopled define their own law, as Nietzsche wrote of his Ubermensch, or superman.

No Blood, No Coverage: Intriguingly, Hebrews 9:22 states, “According to the law almost everything is purified with blood, and without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness.” So, does this text claim without the volitional acceptance of Christ’s sacrificial work on the cross, a brazen attitude takes over and actually leads to bloodshed? For this is exactly how it seemed to work in the first godless- by-design societies: USSR and Communist China, together executing 150 million of their own innocent people.

Govt Covenant: Now, compare the the myriad Americans now being attacked and slaughtered in cold blood versus the sacrificial blood of Christ that heals by being spilt. What’s fascinating here is the religious notion that Christ’s blood actually brings atonement, or creates peace with God. The implication is that America, first built on a biblical Covenantal Theory of government has stepped away from this, and so like the ancient Hebrews being deported to Babylon, must now pay in loss, violence and humiliation. See Elazar’s The Covenant Connection.

Religious & Secular: This religious/secular approach to God in the form of a binding covenant takes the place of unbeliever’s criminal bloodletting. Ponder the notion of an agreement to honor God where both believers and unbelievers are benefited via the covenant. Now, for the skeptical and irreligious, consider the psychological angle, that virtually every ancient society practiced some level of blood sacrifice. See: The rise of blood sacrifice and priest-kingship in Mesopotamia: A ‘cosmic decree’?

America is quickly becoming a land of doubt

Also, see Covenant as a Political Concept The Covenant Tradition in Politics, Vol 1, Chapter 1:

The Idea of Covenant:  A covenant is a morally-informed agreement or pact based upon voluntary consent, established by mutual oaths or promises, involving or witnessed by some transcendent higher authority, between peoples or parties having independent status, equal in connection with the purposes of the pact, that provides for joint action or obligation to achieve defined ends (limited or comprehensive) under conditions of mutual respect which protect the individual integrities of all the parties to it. Every covenant involves consenting (in both senses of thinking together and agreeing) and promising. Most are meant to be of unlimited duration, if not perpetual. Covenants can bind any number of partners for a variety of purposes but in their essence they are political in that their bonds are used principally to establish bodies political and social.”

Godless: Further, now, consider America is quickly becoming a land of doubt: “About 30% of American adults say they do not have a religious affiliation, according to a new study. In 2007, only 16% of American adults surveyed by Pew Research identified themselves as religious “nones” – those who describe themselves as atheists, agnostics or “nothing in particular” when asked about their religious identity.” And less than half Americans now attend church.

Decadent USA: If one peels back the onion a few more layers, we realize our entire society has degenerated in just a few decades, appearing dead inside. Many traditions once deeply embedded in the fabric of our culture have disappeared. Ponder how the loss of marriage-based culture breeds millions of rootless, latchkey kids. Many never experience a father’s love or discipline, and numerous have never been to church. Their manner of dealing with conflict lacks skill, often leading to violence and revenge. So violence morphs into the coin of the realm.

Do mass killings spark other such murders?

Mass Murders & Child Stabbings: The US had 647 mass shootings in 2022, 690 in 2021, but 611 in 2020, and only 2019 in 417. So the problem keeps getting worse. In 2022 there was almost one mass shooting every day. Consider, just last year, on Sun November 27, 2022, it was reported:

“Two young brothers – an 11-month-old baby and a 3-year-old boy – were stabbed to death in New York City, police said. The two boys were found unresponsive with “multiple stab wounds” to their necks and torsos at an apartmentt building in the Bronx late Saturday, the NY Police Department said.”

Mass Murder Contagion: Do mass killings spark other such murders? Experts disagree. See California massacres suggest phenomenon of ‘mass shooting contagion’:

“Following four CA mass shootings within eight days leaving 25 people dead and 17 injured, researchers ask if “mass shooting contagion” is occurring across CA. The cluster of deadly incidents isn’t surprising, as studies show the probability is high a mass shooting garnering national attention will be rapidly followed by another. “‘Contagion’ is a statistical process for the likelihood of a similar crime of another mass shooting increases in the aftermath of previous ones.

Where did human need for sacrifice come from in ancient paganism and what was its purpose

Human Sacrifice: But where did human need for sacrifice come from in ancient paganism and what was its purpose? In 1871 Sir Ed Burnett Tylor, British anthropologist, stated sacrifice was  a gift to the gods to earn favor or to minimize hostility. See Canaanite Child Sacrifice, Abortion, and the Bible:

“The Aztecs and Mayans sacrificed both children and adults to their gods. Exposing an unwanted child to the elements or wild animals was a common practice throughout the Greco-Roman world. The Carthaginians of North Africa sacrificed their infants and children to pagan gods over a period of several centuries.”

Child Sacrifice = God’s Favor: Again, consider when the Romans condemned Carthage for sacrificing their own children, it turned out to be true, and was meant to appease the pagan gods. And since this is seen throughout the ancient world, the need for blood must be not just Christology, but somehow deeply rooted in human nature itself. Meanwhile, child sacrifice still occurs today. See Ancient Carthaginians really did sacrifice their children. And about their prayers inscribed on the child’s tombstone:

“The inscriptions are less equivocal: completely unlike funerary epitaphs found in Carthage’s other cemeteries, they describe an “offering” or “gift” to a particular god (usually Baal Haamon, sometimes with goddess Tanit), “because he heard the voice of my words” or “because he heard my voice and blessed me” – because a prayer had been answered. This suggests these infants were votive offerings: gifts promised to a god in return for a favor. This was a common phenomenon in the ancient Mediterranean.”

We cannot possibly see ceaseless American mass killings as random

Satanic Humanism: Now, consider how the Left spent a hundred years trying to debase US society, in homage to Marx, Humanism and Satan, according to the dedications of many socialist books. See Romantic and Socialist Satanism; & A disturbing guide to devilish Karl Marx.

Planned Chaos: In our closing meditations, let’s recall the socialists have attempted to make a hell of earth. Why? To force ordinary & despised typical persons to give up their independence and cling to government like a drowning dog to a piece of flotsam. See: Planned Chaos:

“The title comes from the reality of central planning and socialism, whether of the national variety (Nazism) or the international variety (communism). Rather than create an orderly society, the attempt to centrally plan has precisely the opposite effect. By short-circuiting the price mechanism and forcing people into economic lives contrary to their own choosing, central planning destroys the capital base and creates economic randomness that eventually ends in killing prosperity.”

Abandoning Christ Means Revenge: We cannot possibly see ceaseless American mass killings as random. They result from a collapse of  civil society, where the manner of solving disputes has collapsed, coincidentally just as the Christian Church is dissolving. For example, the Half Moon Bay murders of seven farmworkers a few days ago were over a $100 car repair debt. And let’s get serious, as humans have always had sacrifice in their minds. So does becoming irreligious justify human sacrifice? No, of course not. But if we dump Christ and the Cross of Blood, we end up lost souls, some of whom invariably excuse crimes up to murder. So let’s stop deluding ourselves as to the nature of this deviltry and get to work rebuilding civil society, starting with the Church.
